September Book Club (foodie edition): Taste Makers by Mayukh Sen

$50.00
sold out

Once a year we pick a food themed book so that we can pair the entire conversation with multiple courses of yummy food. Before ever conceiving the thought of opening a bakery, I always dreamed of opening a restaurant. Cooking is my love language and the opportunity to do that for our book club fulfills a piece of that dream for me. Although we don’t have any stoves or typical cooking equipment in our bakery’s kitchen, I like to push the boundaries of what we can do and look forward to another foodie edition of book club!

This discussion will be centered around the book: Taste Makers Seven Immigrant Women Who Revolutionized Food in America written by Mayukh Sen. The menu will be inspired by the book, but as I haven’t finalized it yet, I will email everyone the menu about a week beforehand!

Please Read

In September we will be hosting book club on two nights: September 21st and September 23rd. Both nights have limited seating. Weather dependent, we hope to be on the rooftop, otherwise we will be inside the bakery. The discussion will be led by our two fearless book club leaders, Helena & Chrissy.

This month tickets are $50/each. Tickets include a drink of your choice, starters, the main course, and a dessert.

$5 of each ticket will be donated to a local charity.

Please arrive between 5:30pm-6:00pm on the night you selected. Discussion will start promptly at 6:00pm.

If you can no longer make it, please email info@thebreadpedalers.com by September 10th for a full refund of your ticket.

Happy reading!
